Dootyful Scoopers is a pet waste removal business operated by Traeden Jansen Nord, a sole proprietor based in Bonney Lake, Washington. Our website is located at dootyfulscoopers.com.
By signing up for service, submitting our contact form, or using our website, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.
Your agreement: When you sign up for service and accept these terms, you enter into a binding agreement with Dootyful Scoopers on the terms of this page as of the version date shown above. We keep a timestamped record of your acceptance.
Dootyful Scoopers provides residential and commercial pet waste removal, dog walking, cat litter services, and related add-ons in Bonney Lake, Buckley, and surrounding Pierce County areas. Services are offered on a month-to-month basis with no long-term contracts.
Certain services carry additional service-specific terms that supplement these Terms of Service. Our Vacation Check-In service is governed by the Vacation Check-In Service Terms, which you accept separately when booking that service. If there is a conflict between these Terms and a service-specific agreement, the service-specific terms control for that service.
By signing up for service, you grant Dootyful Scoopers permission to access your property (yard, gate areas, or designated service zones) on scheduled service days for the purpose of performing pet waste removal or other requested services.
Your authority to grant access. You represent that you have the legal right to authorize entry to the property. If you rent, share the property, or are subject to an HOA or building policy governing entry by service providers, you are responsible for any approval that requires.
Services may be performed by Traeden Nord or by other authorized Dootyful Scoopers personnel. All personnel performing services are covered under our business liability insurance and are bound by the same access and confidentiality practices described in these terms and our Privacy Policy.
We do not subcontract services to outside providers or third-party platforms.
You represent that the information you provide about your pet(s) at sign-up is accurate and complete, including any history of biting, snapping, or aggression toward people or other animals; escape attempts, door-dashing, or fence-jumping; and medical conditions, medications, or allergies relevant to our visits.
You confirm that your pet(s) are currently vaccinated against rabies as required by Washington law, and that you will tell us promptly if that changes.
If we encounter aggression or a condition that was not disclosed, we may suspend service for the safety of our personnel and your pet, and will contact you immediately.
You are responsible for any injury or damage caused by your pet to our personnel, to a third party, or to another animal during a service visit, to the extent permitted by Washington law.
When our services include handling your pet — dog walks, potty breaks, or transport between areas — dogs are kept leashed at all times when outside your home or outside a securely fenced yard. We do not release pets off-leash under any circumstances, including at off-leash dog parks, on trails, or in unfenced yards, even at an owner's request.
Why this is firm: This policy protects your pet, and our insurance treats off-leash incidents differently from leashed ones. We are not able to make exceptions to it.
Payment is collected via Square invoice. By providing payment information, you authorize Dootyful Scoopers to charge for services rendered in accordance with your selected plan.
Payment processing is handled by Square. We do not store your payment card data directly. See Square's privacy policy for details on how payment data is handled.
You may cancel your month-to-month service at any time by contacting us via email or text. There are no cancellation fees and no long-term commitments.
Dootyful Scoopers uses SMS text messaging, delivered via Twilio, to communicate with customers. We send two distinct categories of messages, each requiring separate consent:
Account / Service Messages: These include service visit confirmations and scheduling reminders, arrival and completion notifications, Dooty Report summaries, gate closure photo alerts, and customer support replies. By signing up for service and providing your phone number, you consent to receive these account-related messages. These messages are necessary to deliver your service.
Marketing Messages: These include promotional offers, seasonal discounts, referral program updates, and other marketing communications from Dootyful Scoopers. You must separately and explicitly opt in to receive marketing messages by checking the marketing consent box on our sign-up form. This consent is optional and is not required to receive service.
How to opt out: You may opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP to any text message from us. Replying STOP will stop all text messages from Dootyful Scoopers, including service notifications such as visit confirmations and Dooty Reports. You will receive a single confirmation message after opting out. If you opt out but still wish to receive service-related texts, contact us and we will help you re-subscribe, or reply START to opt back in.

Message frequency: Account messages are sent at the time of each service visit. Marketing messages are sent occasionally and may vary in frequency.
Message & data rates may apply. Standard carrier rates for text messages may apply depending on your mobile plan.
No sharing of mobile numbers: We will not share, sell, or disclose your mobile phone number to third parties for their own marketing purposes.

Dootyful Scoopers will perform services with reasonable care and skill. However, to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law:
Our liability for claims relating to the quality or non-performance of scheduled services is limited to the amount you paid for the service in question. This limitation does not apply to claims for property damage, property loss, or injury, which are addressed by our business liability insurance as described in Section 11.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for our own gross negligence or willful misconduct, or any liability that cannot be limited under Washington law.
Dootyful Scoopers is licensed in Washington (UBI 606 123 548), carries commercial general liability insurance covering our pet care operations, and is bonded. Proof of coverage is available on request.
If you believe we have caused damage to your property, or if something is missing or damaged following a visit, please contact us promptly — within 14 days where possible — so we can look into it in good faith and, where appropriate, involve our insurer. Prompt notice helps us resolve these situations properly for you.
We take photos during service visits, including before-and-after yard photos, gate closure confirmations, and photos of your pets. These are first used to document and confirm your service.
You grant Dootyful Scoopers a non-exclusive, royalty-free permission to use photos and short videos taken during your service in our marketing, including our website, social media, ads, and printed materials. When we use them, we will:
Prefer we don't? Opt out anytime by emailing or texting us. We'll stop using your photos in new posts and remove existing posts we control within 14 days. Opting out doesn't affect your service in any way.

We reserve the right to terminate service to any customer who violates these conduct standards.
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date and version at the top of this page. For material changes, we will notify active customers by email or text message. Your continued use of our services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these terms shall be resolved in the courts of Pierce County, Washington.
