Nope — most of our customers are at work, at school pickup, or just living their life. As long as we can access your yard, you don't need to be there. We text you before we arrive and send a photo of your closed gate when we leave.

We love meeting the pups! That said, if your dog is reactive or protective of the yard, just bring them inside before your scheduled visit. We'll text you the day before as a reminder so you have time to plan.

We work in all weather — rain, wind, and typical Pacific Northwest conditions are no problem. In the rare case of extreme weather that makes a visit unsafe or impossible, we'll reach out to reschedule as soon as possible.

Yes — just give us a heads up before your scheduled visit and we'll skip that week. You won't be charged for skipped visits. Going on vacation? Let us know and we'll hold your spot without hassle.

We send a text confirmation when we arrive and a photo of your closed gate when we leave — every single visit. You'll also receive a Dooty Report with visit notes and any pet health observations. No guessing, no wondering.

We bag everything and dispose of it in your trash bin on-site. Dog waste contains harmful bacteria, so it shouldn't go in yard waste — your trash bin is the right place, and we handle it so you don't have to touch a thing.

Yes — always. All tools are cleaned and disinfected between every property visit to prevent cross-contamination of bacteria and parasites between yards.

Yes, any of them, at any time. You can add cat litter box cleaning, dog walking, or our Yard Freshen enzyme deodorizer treatment to an existing plan, and book vacation check-ins any time you travel. Just reach out and we'll update your service. Adding on is usually cheaper than starting fresh, because we're already scheduled to be at your place.

Every walk is 30 minutes on leash at your dog's pace, with a fresh water check, waste picked up along the route, a text reminder before we arrive, and a photo confirming your door or gate is closed behind us. You'll get a Dooty Report after, same as a scooping visit. You provide the leash, harness, and collar unless we've arranged otherwise. See what's included on every walk.

Once a week is $99/mo, twice a week is $179/mo, and three times a week is $249/mo, which works out to roughly $19 a walk. If you'd rather try it first, a single walk is $29 with nothing recurring. Want a full hour instead of 30 minutes? That's an extra $16 per visit, on a single walk or your whole plan. Solo, always, and with the same person every time. Group walks are cheaper and we could charge you less by doing them, but a rotating handler never learns that your dog pulls left at the corner or has been favoring a back leg since Tuesday. That noticing is most of what you're paying for.

We live here. If we cancelled for rain we'd walk dogs about forty days a year. Your dog gets toweled off before we leave. If conditions are genuinely unsafe, meaning ice or lightning, we'll contact you rather than make that call ourselves.

Yes, and we'll walk them together on the same visit for a small additional per-dog fee. No need to book two separate services.

No. Walking plans stand entirely on their own. That said, if we're already scooping your yard it's the easiest add-on we offer, because there's no new person to meet and no new gate code to hand out.

We scoop the boxes, handle odor control, and haul the waste out with us. The base price covers one or two boxes, and each additional box is a flat $5 per visit rather than a separate plan. By default yes, you supply the litter and we handle everything else. If you'd rather stop hauling heavy bags, add our litter supply service at $5 per box per top-off or change-out. We bring it, we add it, and we leave any unused portion with you for next time.

Not if you'd rather not. Litter boxes live inside your house, often near bedrooms, so we treat that access differently than a backyard gate. We meet every new client in person before any door code or lockbox is shared, and we never subcontract litter box visits to outside crews. If you'd prefer we never come inside at all, choose the porch drop-off option: leave the boxes outside and we'll return them cleaned. We do need access to a hose or spigot for that one.

We fully empty the box, wash and sanitize it, let it dry, and refill it. That removes the bacterial film and odor buildup that scooping alone can't reach. It's included free once a month on weekly, twice-weekly, and three-times-weekly plans, and available a la carte at $10 per box on any plan.

Yes. Self-cleaning boxes still need regular emptying, sensor and rake cleaning, and periodic deep cleans, so they're on the same plans as any other box. Just tell us the make and model when you sign up.

Every visit covers food and fresh water, a potty break for dogs or a litter scoop for cats, a photo confirming your home is locked up, and a written visit report. No, and we want to be clear about that up front. This is not boarding, house-sitting, or continuous supervision. Even on our twice-a-day schedule, we arrive, care for your pets, and leave. Nobody stays the night. If your animal genuinely can't be alone that long, boarding is the honest answer and we'd rather tell you so.

Per visit, not per month, with no subscription and nothing recurring after your trip. A single drop-in is $25, and the per-visit rate drops as you book more visits. Because the total depends on your exact dates, pet count, and add-ons, the live calculator is always the authoritative number. Add-ons are short and honest: a walk upgrade for dogs who need to run it out, and medication administration at $5 per visit.

Yes, and it's free. Before your first booking we come out in person to confirm how we'll get in, meet your pets, and walk through feeding, medication, and any special care instructions together. We text you a private link once you're a subscriber. It's locked behind a PIN, which is the last four digits of your phone number. There's no account to create, no password to remember, and no card stored on our end. It's a page, not another app.

No, and we won't pretend otherwise. We're not vet techs and nothing in there is a diagnosis. What it is good for is the moment your vet asks whether anything has changed recently and you'd like an answer better than a guess. A pattern of yellow flags across several visits is worth mentioning. We'd rather you have that information than not.

No. Both the report and the dashboard are included with every plan at every frequency. We think every pet deserves someone paying attention, regardless of how often we come by.

You pick a dollar amount, we email the certificate to whoever you're gifting it to, and they apply it to whatever service they actually want. Because it holds a balance rather than a specific plan, there's no wrong guess about how often their dog needs scooping or whether they'd rather have walks. Buy a gift certificate.

Any service we offer: dog waste removal, cat litter box cleaning, dog walking, vacation check-ins, or Yard Freshen. The recipient chooses.

That's fine, and it works in both directions. If the certificate covers more than one month, the leftover balance carries forward and comes off the next invoice. If it covers less, the difference is just billed normally. Nothing gets forfeited for being an awkward number.

Yes. Pick the date and we'll send it that morning, so a birthday gift doesn't land three weeks early. You'll get your own confirmation copy right away either way.

Payment is collected monthly via the invoice link — no app to download, no account to create. You can save your card for automatic billing... we accept pretty much all forms of payment except doll hairs and bottle caps. Recurring plans are charged on the 1st of each new month

Never. All our plans are month-to-month. You can pause or cancel anytime directly from your Square invoice link — no phone calls, no hoops, no fees.

No! Unlike other local providers, Dootyful Scoopers never charges extra for your first-time cleanup, catch-up service, or yard size. Our flat-rate monthly subscriptions cover your yard regardless of how long it's been since it was last scooped or how big your lot is. Now if we're talking estate/farmland not a residential yard size let us know your set up and we'll let you know if we can accomodate.

Yes — significantly. Dog waste contains harmful bacteria including E. coli and salmonella, as well as parasites like roundworms, hookworms, and giardia that can survive in soil for months. The EPA classifies dog waste as a water pollutant. Read more about the health risks →

Regular scooping is essential, and Yard Freshen enzyme treatment is a great complement that neutralizes odors at the source, restores pH balance to your yard AND kills harmful bacteria. Indoor odor is a different problem with a different fix, covered on our litter box service page.

For most people it's just unpleasant. For some it's a genuine health question. Litter box exposure carries a toxoplasmosis risk during pregnancy, and litter dust and ammonia are real triggers for anyone immunocompromised or with respiratory allergies. Those households are a big part of why we offer the service at all.
