🐾 Your Event Guide

What's Happening at Bark by the Bay
Five hours, one meadow, a whole lot of dogs.

Pierce County Parks puts on a genuinely great day. Here's what you'll find when you get there.

🛍️

50+ Vendor Booths

Trainers, groomers, veterinary clinics, rescues, treat bakeries, gear makers, and pet photographers. We're one of them, over at Booth 53.

🐕‍🦺

Off-Leash Play Areas

Designated zones where your dog can run loose and burn off some energy. Everywhere else, leashes stay on.

💦

Water Zones

Splash areas built for dogs who would rather be wet. Bring a towel and plan for a soggy ride home.

🏅

Agility, Training & Flyball Demos

Demonstrations run throughout the day. Worth catching even if your dog's best trick is lying down.

🏡

Adoption Opportunities

Rescues on site with dogs looking for homes. Fair warning: this is how a lot of people accidentally become two-dog households.

📸

Photo Booth & Giveaways

Free photo booth for you and your pup, plus giveaways scattered across the event.

🎨

Games, Art Projects & Treat Hunting

Dog-centric activities all day, including art projects and treat hunts. Kid friendly and dog friendly.

🥫

Pet Food Bank Donation Drive

Puget Sound Pet Food Bank is collecting dog and cat food, treats, and gently used pet items. Toss something in the car before you go.

🚚 Food Trucks On Site

📋 Know Before You Go

  • Entry is free. Parking is $10 per vehicle. Buy online in advance or on site, and have the QR code ready on your phone or printed.
  • Dogs must be leashed at all times and accompanied by their owner, except inside the marked off-leash zones.
  • Leave sick or stressed dogs home. Owners are asked to remove any obviously ill dog or any dog showing aggressive or stressed behavior.
  • You are responsible for your pet. Pierce County states that pet owners assume full responsibility for their animals at the event.
  • Bring water, a towel, and poop bags. Yes, we know. We are aware of the irony of telling you to bring poop bags.

Come for the Dogs.
Stay for the Bad Puns. 🐕💩

We'll be set up all five hours. Bring the kids, bring the dog, come say hi.

We're at Booth 53

We'll post a photo of our exact setup on Facebook the morning of the event.

💩

Poop Scotch

Our spin on hopscotch. Toss a bean bag "dooty" and navigate the minefield. Free to play, no dogs harmed.

🎯

Dooty Cornhole

Poop emoji bean bags, branded boards. A classic lawn game while your dog dries off from the water zone. 💦

🌀

Wheel of Dooty

Follow us on social and spin for prizes, including a FREE month of service. 🌀

🐶

Free Dog Treats

Your pup has been very patient with all this walking around. Stop by and let us bribe them while we chat with you.

You just spent a whole day celebrating your dog. Let us handle the other part.
